Lately have to been too lazy to post, even news post. Nowadays, TVB series have become too much. The plots is too boring or uninteresting for me to really watching. I will just watch bit and pieces of it. Series that I'm watching or planing to watch.



The Unexpected 一切從失踪開始

Cast: Esther Kwan, Bowie Lam, Damian Lau, Joey Leung, Maggie Cheung Ho Yee, Cheung Kwok Keung, and Maggie Chan

A good series with good cast and an interesting storyline. It a bit like DIF, in this series Damian Lau is trying to find the mystery of his wife death with the help of Bowie Lam.



A Stage of Turbulence 刀馬旦

Cast: Vivian Chow, Sunny Chan, Patrick Tam, Law Lok Kam, Fiona Leung, Roman Tam and Joyce Koi

One of Vivian Chow rare series with tvb. Set in the 1950s, I think. It talks about a group of women trying to a name for themselves in the Chinese opera. But they have a hard time, because women then still aren't allow to preform on stage.

Burning Flame I & II 烈火雄心



Through it not made too long ago, but it worth rewatching. Other is cast in the series that I like.

Cold Blood Warm Heart - 天地男兒 Though (II)

Into more of the series, the series have been picking up more excitement. Then it is also long series. But the storyline hasn't turn downhill. The story forces on both the romances and wars of the cast. In the Gem of Life, it have force on the romance too much. The battle of the companies seem to be too much to understand. At that time, Gallen Lo is still playing villain roles. Watching him as the villain, well it is impress. There also the love triangle between the casts, while watching the series, there is the wondering of who will be ending up with who.

EU Final Thoughts

EU is definitely the more exciting series of TVB. Unfortunately, I think it could be better. Picky aren't I? Ron Ng maybe hot head, after so long in the police, he should able to change. In the police force, police have know they have follow orders from their Superior. I don't see that in Ron. Micheal Tse a very intersting characther. His characther Launghing was undercover for nine years. When it at the third of the series, if Laughing choosen to return to the police force, I'm sure there will be more excitment in the series. There will be more battle between the police and the gangsters.

Michelle Yim refused to admit she had pocketed $2 million HKD

There was media report yesterday that Michelle Yim had pocketed $2 million HKD raised by Alam Tam and Nat Chan (阿叻). That sum of money was intended to help pay the medical bill for Wan Chi-Keung, Michelle's boyfriend. It was reported that Michelle put the money straight into her account, that had led to the speculation that she pocketed the money. Yesterday, Michelle was in Lai Chi Kok Park filming TVB up coming new series "Beyond The Realm Of Conscience". Michelle is usually very friendly with the reporters, but she frown when she saw them yesterday. She told reporters "I have nothing to tell you." She went on to say "You created such news and you expect me to give you the answer." Michelle was asked by the reporter what had happened to the money she was allegedly put in her account, she replied "Say no more, it makes no difference whether I speak out or not. I hope you all wish my boyfriend to have a speedy recovery." The reporter asked her if she had raised fund for his medical care, Michelle replied "No."

There were a lot of onlookers at the Park to see the filming. The audience all said Michelle looked so beautiful that she doesn't look her age . Michelle is in fact over 50 years old. That shows Michelle has been keeping fit and taking care of her skin very well.

The global financial crisis worsens daily and affect industries worldwide. Series production is also affected and they struggle to reduce the cost as precaution against the financial crisis which shows no indication of ending. However the usually cost cutting TVB have invested heavily into two grand productions – [Beyond the Realm of Conscience] and [Born Rich]. They even set up a grand stage promoting the series during Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART) at HKCEC recently. TVB never slack off in their promotional activities and the cast appeared in colorful costumes amidst the warm temperature. Even though they keep smiling, they are actually sweating profusely in the back, making many reporters who are wearing T-shirt and Bermudas feel admirable. [Beyond] cast consist of two pair fadan and siusang, with Charmaine Sheh, Kevin Cheng, Tavia Yeung, and Moses Chan leading the others to appear at the event. According to Stephen Chan’s introduction, the series invested heavily in the set and wardrobe, hoping to reproduce the original grandeur of Dynasty Tang. Charmaine Sheh who is portraying Sam Ho appeared delicate yet elegant in her sweeping pastel pink dress and hair gently combed up – bringing out the personality of her character in the series.

Sam Ho sworn sister in the series; Yiu Kam Ling is portrayed by Tavia Yeung. She wore the same costume and hairstyle as Charmaine. Compared to Charmaine's understated elegance, Tavia’s make up is more colorful with her drawn eyebrow and pinkish glow, making her prettier than flower. As for their escorts Kevin Cheng and Moses Chan, they both wore elaborate costumes. Kevin Cheng portrays [Sir] Gao who is talented in both poetry and martial arts. His costumes reflect gallantry while not lacking refinement. As for Moses Chan, he portrays the esteemed emperor, therefore his costume naturally feel commanding and powerful. Compared to his role Gam Wing Ho in [MR], Moses has gained some weight but this is appropriate for his role in the series. You won't feel convinced seeing a skinny man wearing emperor's robe. On the other hand Michelle Yim and Susanna Kwan wore intricate official costumes, the splendor is indescribable. The cast successfully stole everyone's attention and reporters keep on snapping their pictures. TVB actually film plenty of series annually, why are TVB emphasizing on this two series? Let us analyze the reasons behind this.

EU Episode 18 Thoughts

Kathy Chow finally find out the truth of her husband death. Shock and pains her it the person that she currently loves. Kathy finds out the truth the most shocking way. The truth coming from Micheal.



Kathy at her husband grave, not sure how to deal with the problem. Knowing she should hate Micheal, but she loves this man. On the other hand, she can't face him now.



Kathy has meet her fate of death. Micheal has mistook Kathy for traitor working for the police. Unfortunately Kathy is not a traitor like Micheal believes she is. Micheal finds out too late. Kathy feeling for Micheal is very really. Kathy's feeling for Micheal is not like what he thinks is, a tool to use to get information from him.

TVB EU Episode 1 - 15 Thoughts

The series is not boring, but also not all that exciting as the audiences said it is. Guess that my tastes for TVB have becoming demanding. The most exciting star for the series, Laughing, of course you have knew by now since it has finished airing, is not that exciting. So far in the series he have done alot talking, not much action. When it comes to decision, Laughing does alot of coin fliping to decied whats going to happen next.

Maggie Cheung: ‘I Was a Pain to Work With Before’

Suffering from thyroiditis and depression earlier, Maggie Cheung Ho Yee took a filming break for two years. Last year, she resumed part-time work and hosted 《更上一層樓》. The big challenge may be ahead, as Maggie prepares to film “The Pride for My Husband” opposite Michael Miu Kiu Wai. Maggie said that she is fully prepared mentally and physically in her comeback. She has confidence that she will present her best form before the audience.

Maggie was one of TVB’s most popular actresses and received the Favorite Actress Award in 2003, acknowledging her talent. Unfortunately, while filming the mainland production, "Everlasting Regret," Maggie suffered from thyroiditis and depression. This forced her to take a hiatus from acting; the audience felt much pity for her.

Many people are worried whether Maggie will be able to cope with physical and mental strain of filming full-time in her comeback series, “The Pride for My Husband.” Maggie said confidently, “Since I accepted this role, it means that I am ready. I believe that the producer and my co-stars will be understanding of my situation and the condition of my my body.”

”My co-star in ‘The Pride of My Husband’ is Michael Miu. If I did not get ill, we would have cooperated earlier in ‘Au Revoir Shanghai’ 《上海傳奇》. Since Michael happens to be my co-star again in my comeback series, I am particularly looking forward to working with him and would like to start as soon as possible."

Just Want to Enjoy the Working Process

Since recovering from her illness, Maggie’s work attitude has changed dramatically. "While filming outdoor scenes in the past, I tried to avoid using outdoor toilets. Thus I would not eat nor drink the entire day. I had high demands for myself and people that I worked with, such as the make-up artists, hairstylists, lighting crew, etc. Many people felt that I was a difficult person to work with. I did not spare other people, nor did I spare myself. I put myself under immense pressure.”

“However, my health turn a drastic turn. At the time, if there was ‘gold on the ground,’ I wouldn’t have been able to pick it up. Designer handbags were no longer necessary. At that point, I realized you can not be so stubborn in life. You need to look at things from multiple angles. If ‘A’ does not work out, it is necessary to try ‘B,’ perhaps there might be better results. When I go back to the TVB studios, I treat myself like a newcomer and maintain an open mind. I believe that work will be more enjoyable that way."

Since her health recovered, Maggie wanted to try different jobs to broaden her scope of vision. She accepted a role in a movie and filming is expected to start within two months. However, her new filming projects are an attempt to satisfy her own desires, without the ambition to win awards. “Of course awards would make me happier. This indicates that your work is not bad, but I do not want to dwell too much on awards. Currently, I will just enjoy the process of acting."

Maggie has become more health conscious now. Aside from focusing on skin whitening, she will set aside time to detoxify her body. "Every night, I make sure to sleep before 12 midnight, to allow my liver to detoxify my body properly. Each month, I will set aside one or two days for full-body detoxification. I will only drink juice and not eat other food. If I become hungry, then I will just go to sleep. My skin improved as a result too!”

While filming 《更上一層樓》, Maggie met and fell in love with current boyfriend, Tsang Anbang, who works in the financial industry. Since the exposure of their relationship, marriage rumors have circulated multiple times. Maggie said, "We have not been dating for long. Unlike other couples who have marriage plans, it is too early for us to consider right now.”

Does Maggie intend to become an older mom and have a baby later in life? “Each time I see my younger sister’s son, I feel that babies are very cute. There will be a moment of impulse to have a baby. But I can not get married just because I want to have a child. You can not be impatient with marriage matters. It is best to let God decide!”

Kiki Sheung bought pearl ring half price worth $50,000 HKD

Yesterday Kiki Sheung, Bowie Lam, Jessica Hsuen, Joyce Tang, Macy Chan and JJ attented the promotion event for TVB new series "Pearl In Palm". The female artists wore sponsored jewelry worth billion of dollars. Macy Chan wore the most expensive jewelry, estimated as 5.5 million (HKD). Kiki Sheung, on the other hand wore a $100,000 (HKD) black pearl ring. She asked the sponsors if she could buy the ring at half price and to her surprise they agreed. The deal was made straight away.

Kiki told reporters afterwards, "I bought it as it was half price. I am not worried that I may buy more jewelries on impulse." The reporter asked if she had used her own jewelry when acting on the series. She replied "I had used my pearl necklace in one of the TV series."

Bowie Lam revealed that he was seduced by Jessica in the series. As a result, Kiki was involved in a love triangle between them. The reporter asked Bowie about his friend Byron Pang having a nude scene in a recent movie, Bowie turned away and left without answering the question.
